Stupid Comment

I am appalled at the stupidity of some people who comment in the Toronto Star. For instance (in today's Star),

It was inevitable that at least one letter would remind us of the people out there with children who believe they enjoy a superior type of love, and that the rest of us are sadly lacking in our diminished little lives for the want of this experience. Such smugness suggests - apart from the overabundance of parental ego - a lack of tolerance and respect for people who make choices that may deviate from the mainstream.  

Surely this isn't an attitude to be conveyed to kids. Or are we all subject to some sort of sliding scale of validity regarding who we love? […]

How stupid is this argument? Arguing that animal love is equivalent to the love expressed and shared by humans is extremely mentally retarded. Unfortunately, because the writer of the letter is too ugly themselves to ever have children, they will not able to compare the difference between animal and human love. This "love" of animals can surely be extended? What if tomorrow someone wants to marry a horse? What if I want to marry a paper plate? The picture at the right shows the paper plates that I want to practice polygyny with. Why does this sound absurd? My love for these paper plates is very real and everlasting. I shouldn't be subject to laws that do not recognize this union between me and the plates! "Such smugness suggests a lack of tolerance and respect for" me just because I "make choices that deviate from the mainstream." Who seems stupid now?
